Fair use limits
Microsoft uses fair use limits for some Copilot features and capabilities for users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Features, such as image generation, already use limits. We are expanding this approach to additional Copilot Chat features and capabilities.
Users will be notified in-product if the capability or feature is not available.
Availability of these features may change over time and can vary based on service conditions.
Note
You may be unable to use a capability because you've reached a limit. This isn't an error or product malfunction.
If a capability is unavailable because of a limit, Copilot notifies you in the product. Tasks already in progress won't be interrupted.
